If I ever replay Mafia II, I will definitely be playing the original and not this "definitive" edition. *Edit: It seems several things int he OP's video are incorrect or bugged at the time of recording. There are several other videos showing eye movement and the lights in the return from the war scene. The original was my favorite game of all time until this came out. This game is just better in almost every way, updating graphics and adding tons of more modern QoL features. The only argument for the old game is nostalgia and preferring its art style. 3.
Like in the original, I saw the scene where Tommy, when finishing off Sam was one floor above him meant that, either out of sheer luck or divine fate Tommy has bested Sam in a showdown. And ironically when Sam ratted out Tommy wanting to rise up the ranks to the high life, went down one floor lower, losing to the accomplice he betrayed.
Then again, I never played the original Mafia, but I think the remake mechanics ought to be comparable to or better than the mechanics of L.A Noire. The acceleration is great, but the brakes are terrible. The one part of the race track that causes me to always crash is the sharp turn that comes up after you've been driving straight for a while.

I read that there is no difference because the Deluxe edition will be updated automatically to the Definitive edition. I don't think that there could be as many new bugs compared to the older Mafia games because Mafia 3 is still newish and there aren't alot of graphical changes added to it (pple said it looks the same).
