38. Feb 20, 2020. #1. Hi Guys. re: 2006 x244 Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD not starting. Actually engine fires then cuts out. I am a newbie to FIAT Ducato. Had to replace a cvjoint and my VAN was sitting for 2 months due to part issues. Anyway, got van back together and no longer starts!Generator (engines 2.0 - 2.0 JTD with preheating system) 70: F 72 F 70: Alternator (2.8 JTD engines with preheating system - 2.0 JTD engines with climate control system) 100: 150: F 71: Protection of fuse boxes in the cabin and under the hood: 80
Fiat’s 2.3-litre JTD common rail diesel gives the new Ducato quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient performance than the old 2.8 diesel. greater refinement and fuel consumption reduced by 16%. Fiat 2.8 JTD Turbo blown. Had a very interesting and expensive week. Lets hope next is better! Pulled out from a layby, suddenly a loud POP and white/ bluish smoke. Loss of power.
